Linda Lee Maggard, 76, of Baxter died on Monday, October 19, 2020, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Linda, the daughter of Jakie and Mary (Bucklin) Stubbe, was born on June 18, 1944 in Newton. She grew up in Baxter and graduated from Baxter High School. On October 12, 1962, Linda was united in marriage with Richard Maggard in Baxter. They made their home in rural Mingo. Linda worked for over 20 years as a claims adjuster at Principal Financial Group. She was a member of Ashton Chapel and had helped with Vacation Bible School in both Ashton and Ira.
Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Maggard of Baxter; children, David (Kelly) Maggard of Mingo, Darwin (Vicky) Maggard of Prairie City, Donnie (Holly) Maggard of Runnells, and Carmen (Rusty) Parker of Baxter; 10 grandchildren, Jake Maggard, Marybeth Maggard, Breck Hinton, James Maggard, Kelsey Maggard (Austin Walker), Jaret Maggard, Justin Maggard, Leeanna (Brandon) Price, Russell Parker, and Dakota Parker; her two great-grandchildren, Kole Price and Lane Walker; and sister, Sally Jo (Marvin) Morris of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
