Linda L. Goff went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, as a result of complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was born at March Field AFB, California on September 25, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walton, and Addie Kelly; her older sister, Joanne Swearengin; and her brother Steve Kelly. She is survived by her husband of 50-years, H Russell Goff, Albuquerque, NM; daughter Jennifer Drake-Brockman, and husband, Michael; grandsons William and Matthew of Perth Australia; daughter Taryn E. Goff-Mehojah & husband Greg of Albuquerque; brothers, Jerry Kelly and wife Sandy of Dallas, TX, Michael Kelly and wife, Ruth of Singapore; sisters, Leslie Hutz and husband John of Houston, TX, Tracy Kapple and husband Kirk of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Gina Kelly; brother-in-law, Lloyd Goff, Denver; Colo; sister-in-law, Nancy Goff, Denver, CO; and sister-in-law, Susan Roberts and husband Chuck, Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was the product of a military family that traveled the world as she grew up, living in England, Hawaii, California, and Albuquerque. She graduated from Pacific High School, San Bernardino, California in 1964. She went on to attend San Diego State University before transferring to the University of New Mexico after her family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the fall of 1969, Linda did her student teaching at Rio Grande High School. It was there that she met her future husband.

In the fall of 1970, Linda began her 30-year teaching career at Bernalillo High School followed by stints at West Mesa High School, Albuquerque Evening School, and La Cueva High School. Linda had a love of teaching history. She especially enjoyed traveling with her students throughout Europe. After retirement she and her husband continued to travel.

Linda’s pride and joy were her daughters and grandsons. She enjoyed watching her daughters, grow into successful young ladies, and watching her grandson’s grow up. She especially enjoyed traveling to San Diego, Perth, Australia, and other cities in California to be with Jennifer as she raised her sons and be near Taryn as she worked on her Doctorate and help plan her wedding. Linda was an animal lover, and enjoyed taking care of numerous pets, especially Charlie and Jeremiah.

Linda was a loving mother who enjoyed her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and especially working in her garden. She always had a beautiful yard.
