Linda Kay Reitz, 47, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday morning, June 29, 2013 at her home.Linda was born August 21, 1965 in Michigan City, Indiana to Jimmy and Judy (Birkhead) Davis. She graduated from River Valley High School in 1983. Linda had worked for many employers before her health prevented it, including Precision Plastics, Shepherd Hardware, Speedway and GMP.
She enjoyed watching Ohio State football, eating out, gardening, and adding to her wolf collection. Linda had a caring heart, helping her mother after the death of Linda’s step father, Jim Kinst. She had a special love for animals, she even adopted a raccoon when she was young, and currently called 3 cats and 4 dogs her babies.
Survivors include her daughter, Yonna Reitz of Three Oaks; mother Judy Kinst of Three Oaks; sister Brenda Davis of Buchanan, Michigan; step sons, Trey Ballard and Steven Conner both of Benton Harbor, Michigan; step sisters, Marcia (Brian) Snelling of LaPorte, Indiana and Judith (Mike) Kinst of Union Pier, Michigan; and by her loving companion, Joseph Ballard of Benton Harbor. She was preceded in death by her father and step father.
