Linda Kay McFarland, 74, Anderson, passed away on March 25, 2017, at her home. She was born November 9, 1942, in Anderson, IN. Linda was a loving mother, sister, wife, and friend.
Linda loved to laugh, dance, and cook. She left her children with a house full of stuff and hearts full of love. Linda graduated from Anderson High School in 1961. She became a mother at an early age with her son, Hollis (Lee) Ehrlich-Blair children Michele and Rachel of Boyne City, MI. She worked hard to provide for her family. She later married Paul E. “Buss” McFarland. They had 4 children together. Jennifer (Cameron) Fouts son Gavin of Anderson, IN. Amy (Garrett) Flora’s daughter Sydney of Westfield, IN. Polly (John) Inholt children Kirstie, Tommy, and Rylee of Lapel, IN. Jason (Chasity) McFarland son Ezra of Fort Wayne, IN. Mom always had wonderful friends and family who helped her after Buss passed away. We never knew we ever went without. Linda fulfilled her dream and became a nurse in 1992. A great career for someone who loved to take care of others. Mom taught us to live by the Golden Rule. “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also for them, for this is the Law of the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12. So today as you read this, love your family and friends because life is short. Linda deeply loved her cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Vera Elmore; her husband Paul E. McFarland; and her sister Sande Johnson.
