Linda Darlene (Joyner) Thompson, 70, of Cocoa, FL passed away at Cape Canaveral Hospital on Monday, November 19, 2017, following complications from a stroke.
Born to the late Helen and Oscar Joyner on March 1, 1948, Linda grew up in Miami, Florida. She was a graduate of Hialeah High School and Miami-Dade Community College. Thereafter, she attended Florida Atlantic University, where she met her husband, Robert R. Thompson. They were married on November 14, 1969 and began their life together.
She is predeceased by her parents, Helen and Oscar Joyner, and her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert R. Thompson. She is survived by their children, Jennifer and husband Steven Hunter of Merritt Island, FL; Matthew Thompson of Merritt Island, FL; Sarah and husband Daniel Chule of Winter Park, FL; their loving grandchildren Hannah and Holly Hunter, Elizabeth, James and Andrew Chule; her siblings James Joyner, Sharon Joyner and Judy Willis, and sister-in-law Carolyn Traver.
She will be forever in our hearts. Forever, “the Toots!”
