Linda Joyce Michwich Ebarb, 77, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died February 25, 2021, at St. Mary Healthcare Center, Lafayette, Indiana. Linda passed away peacefully due to natural causes, after living with dementia for several years. Linda was born April 27, 1943 in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

She is survived by her sons, Joel Ebarb and husband Michael Wallace of West Lafayette, Indiana, and David Ebarb and wife Michele of Shreveport, Louisiana, sister Lavon Sell and husband Jack of Bossier City, Louisiana, brother Tommy Michwich and wife Rebecca of Shreveport, Louisiana, grandchildren Annabelle, Reese, Kate, Maddie, Jac, and Jon, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and their families.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Winford and Mattie Michwich, and sisters Dorothy McCoy, Bobbie Dennis, and Eloise Michwich.

Linda was a 1961 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School, Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a longtime employee of Louisiana State University School of Medicine and Medical Center – Shreveport, first in medical records, then hospital administration and medical education, and finally the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. After retiring from LSU, she worked at Mid-South Orthopedics and Orthopedics Specialists of Louisiana. The many dear friends and colleagues Linda made during her work years are fondly remembered and appreciated by her sons.

Linda loved her family, her friends, mockingbirds, John Wayne, Mexican food, Emmylou Harris, consignments shops, Carolina Herrera perfume, Jason’s Deli, public radio, Community brand coffee, white pants, and chicken décor. She was funny and loved to dance.

Her sons would like to thank Cumberland Pointe Health Campus and St. Mary Healthcare Center for taking such beautiful care of their mother in her final months.
