Linda Jean Vaughn, age 71, of Senoia, GA, passed away on May 1, 2015 at Piedmont-Newnan Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Laddie 1995, daughter, Carol Jean 2006, father James Paul Morgan, Crossville, TN 1985, sister, Sharon Morgan of Port Ludlow, WA 2012. She is survived by her mother, Susan Goforth of Crossville, TN, sister, Charlotte Perry of Toms River, NJ, sister, Teresa Morgan of Sterling, VA, Aunt Marion Treger of Bradenton, FL., brother-in-law, Lee Hopkins of Marion, OH. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins across the states. Linda graduated from Long Branch High School, Long Branch, NJ in 1961. She began her civil service career at Fort Monmouth, NJ, in the SATCOM unit at Ft. McPherson, GA in 1995 she received many awards and commendations during her career and developed friendships that still remain. Linda married Laddie Vaughn on June 14, 1969 and they moved to various Army bases during his career, including NJ, Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, and Germany, and finally settled in GA in 1982. Linda’s hobbies and interest included gardening, tending to her 4-legged friends and feathered visitors, crafting projects, working around her home and property. She had a healthy obsession with crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed a wide genre of movies. One of her favorite passions was traveling around the united states, sightseeing and visiting family and friends. Linda lived her life with dignity and kindness and will be remembered as a genuine caring person with generosity of spirit a smile for anyone, and the heart of a survivor. Her family believes she would be pleased if donations were made to some of the charities she supported; ASPCA, World Wildlife Fund, The Arbor Foundation, and any military or veteran organization.
