Linda J. Molenda, 72, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Linda was born on October 12, 1948 in Highland, Illinois to John Samuel and Mildred A. (Luber) Cox. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years. On December 17, 1999, in Mishawaka, Indiana she married James J. Molenda, who survives. Also surviving are her four sons, Ronald Smithers of Fishers, Indiana, Matthew Smithers of South Bend, Indiana, Aaron Smithers of Austin, Texas and Donavan Smithers of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Havilynde, Benjamin, and Hunter Smithers; three sisters, Donna Farmer of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Gail (Rick) Parker of Glen Carbon, Illinois, and Monica Cox of Cottage Grove, Oregon; and two brothers, Mike (Verlyn) Cox of Edwardsville, Illinois and Tim R. Cox of Seattle, Washington. Linda was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Ragland and Lois Mandrell.
