Linda (Cashmer) Greene, 74, of Spring Valley, passed away Friday evening, June 28, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Greene was born on July 2, 1944, in Pontiac to Francis and Merna (Schmidt) Cashmer.
She married Russell Greene on December 20, 1964, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pontiac. Linda was an LPN and had her own daycare in her home. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Peru serving on several committees, and was an avid bridge player. Linda devoted her life to her family and dearly loved her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Russell of Spring Valley; her children, Michele Chin of Kennesaw, GA, Melissa (Alan) Bosnich of DePue, Matthew (Renae) Greene of Crystal Lake, and Marilyn (Dennis) Pauls of Birmingham, AL; 12 grandchildren, Asia Chin, Grant Bosnich, Morgan Bosnich, Macy Bosnich, Tyler Greene, Bailey Greene, Chelsea Greene, Sabrina Cisneros, Paige Cisneros, Gabrielle Cisneros, Blake Pauls, and Gavin Pauls; two brothers, Larry (Judy) Cashmer of Dwight and Terry (Carol) Cashmer of Southgate, MI; one sister-in-law, Susan Cashmer of Chesterton, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth Cashmer.
