Ms. Climons was born on October 5, 1951 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Allision and Mary Louies Sowell Climons. She departed this life on May 12, 2017 at her residence.

She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur under the leadership of the Reverend John Ewing. She later united with New Life Church where she was a faithful member and was an ordained minister.  Minister Climons was a loving and caring person.  She would give her last to anyone in need.  All who met her, knew that after speaking with her there was no doubt that she loved the Lord and had an unwavering faith.

She graduated from Decatur High School. After graduation she attended Calhoun Community College where she received an associated degree in Secretary Word Processing.  She was employed as a secretary but later became disabled.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Martha Climons and Mildred Timberlake; two brothers, Alfred and James Climons.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Detrick (Sharon) Climons of Huntsville; one spiritual daughter, Jacqueline Green of Athens; seven grandchildren, Nicolean Smartt, April Smartt, Fabian Bell, Crushondra Smartt, Demetrice Smartt, Detrick Clemons Jr., and Adrian Crayton; eight great grandchildren, Ladonist, Ladon, Christopher, Kalissa, Karter, Collin, Kaydin and Da’Naesia; two sisters, Mattie Pearl “Kate” Jones and Wanda Kay Climons both of Decatur; one brother, Louie Jones (Janice) Climons of San Diego, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
