Lina Joan Araujo of Oxnard

On Feb. 23, 2011, our beloved Lina passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born Sept. 10, 1955 in San Jose, CA, raised in Brawley “Brole”, CA, and later moved to Oxnard, CA with her children. Lina had always lived her life to the fullest. She had a great sense of humor and loved being a jokester. Although reserved, she was never afraid to say what she had to say. She loved her novelas and ghost stories on the syfy channel. She was very caring and giving towards all her family and friends.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, Raul & Mary Araujo & sister Amalia “Molly” Araujo Michel. She is survived by her children, Raul “Tommy” Araujo, Michelle Rizalla & grandson, Angel Guatemala. Siblings; Ruby & Ruben Ramos, Rudy & Christina Araujo of Brawley, Ruben & Theresa Araujo, Robert & Linda Araujo of Oxnard and numerous nieces & nephews.

There are no words to express the appreciation we have for all the support from Sister Servants of Mary & Livingston Memorial.

God’s Garden
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace bethine’.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
