Mrs. Malone was born October 15, 1932 in Limestone County, Alabama to the late Straughter Pickett and Lousiana Long Pickett. She departed this life on August 8, 2012 at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Facility in Decatur, Alabama.
Mrs. Malone confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Living Water C. P. Church under the late Pastor Henry Pendleton. After moving to Decatur, she joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor M. C. Cosby. She was a faithful member until her health failed. Lillie was an employee at Decatur Public Library for many years.
Lillie was a loving and kind person. She lived a quiet life. She loved her family and would do anything for them. While in the nursing home she always would give you a smile.
Her precious memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Angela Shoulders (D.J.) of Decatur; one son, Darrell Shoulders (Mary) of Sawyerville, AL; four grandsons, Marquise DeShawn, Darrell Jr., Jason and Princeton; one devoted sister, Luette Vernon; three half-sisters, Emma Timmons, Ida Miland and Jewel Smith; one half-brother, Cody Miland, several sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
