On Tuesday, December 9, 2014, God in His love and mercy called to rest Lillie Mae Finch. She was born December 5, 1922 to the late Chauncey and Mary Asylena Wynn Glasper in Swainsboro, GA
Lillie was educated in the public schools in Georgia and North Carolina. After marriage to Lessie Finch, they relocated to Washington, DC. She united with Bible Way Temple in Washington, DC She was a member of the True Blue Chorus, The True Blue Fellowship Club, and The Hospitality Committee.
Lillie received her license for Cosmetology from The Madame C.J. Walker School of Cosmetology. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 27 years. She also established two Senior Group Homes.
She is preceded in death by her husband. Lessie Finch; one son, Lessie Roland Finch; four sisters, Maudell Newsome, Esther Bennett, Willa J. Smith and Doreatha Thompson, and two brothers, Chauncey and Robert L. Glasper.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Larry Finch, Sr. (LaVerne), two daughters, Martha J. Musgrove and Lillie V. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Kayola Dixion; grandchildren, Vicki Beason, William Dixion (Bonita), Perchell Broome (Kenneth), LaVida Stalsworth (Joshua), Larry Finch, Jr. (Maria), Casshyna, Rochelle Hernandez (Darry), Shanel Mears (Joseph); 15 great-grandchildren, one sister, Hattie A. Parker of Washington, DC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, her church family and friends.
