Hagerstown, MD – Lillian Viola Ward, 95, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Sharpsburg, MD and Lappans Crossroads passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD.
Born, May 28, 1919 in Sharpsburg, MD to the late William Francis and Carrie Viola Leatherman Peyton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Ward on June 13, 2014.
She was employed by Washington County Board of Education until her retirement. She was previously employed by Porter Chemical Company in Hagerstown, MD.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Sharpsburg, MD.
She is the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors Include:
Nieces Yvonne Bowers, Norma Ebersole, Mary Blosser and Pat Snively.
She was predeceased by three sisters Martha V. Rohrer, Mary E. Knepper and Alta M. Ebersole and two brothers W. Clyde Peyton and H. Chester Peyton.
