Lillian P. Thriffiley
Passed away peacefully on Saturday March 21, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. Born Lillian Rose Peri, September 1, 1925 in New Orleans La to Vincenzo and Rosalia Peri, Italian immigrants from Sicily. On September 10, 1943, she married James C. Thriffiley Jr, while he was serving in the US Army. As the mother of 6 intelligent children, James C. Thriffiley, III ( Jean Ann ), Kathleen Sammons ( Tinsley), Alan V. Thriffiley, Sr ( Patty ), Gwendolyn Rose Defraites (Lawrence), Tara Ann Cassard ( Gary) and Timothy Thriffiley ( Lisa ), she taught her children not only a sense of family but a sense of being Italian.
Her brothers and sisters, Vincent, Frank, Gasper, Jeanette and Domenica (Mimi), proceeded her in death.
The family wants thank Jay Evans of Amedsys Hospice and Lisa L’huillier and staff at Azalea Estates for their care, compassion and understanding during her time with them.
