Mrs. Lillian Coker Alexander, 94, of Newnan passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Newnan Health & Rehabilitation. She was born June 27, 1920 in Odessadale, GA to the late Rolz George Coker & Lillie Harman Coker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Clarence “C.E.” Emory Alexander and son, Oscar Alexander.

Mrs. Alexander and her family moved to Coweta County in 1941. She worked at Newnan Cotton Mill in the late 1940s before becoming a successful Avon Saleslady for many years. Lillian joined Emory Chapel United Methodist Church in 1948. Until her death, she was the oldest living member of Emory Chapel.

Survivors include children, Emory (Linda) Alexander, Glenda Helton, Elaine (John) Lee, Darlene Alexander; daughter-in-law, Ruth Alexander; grandchildren, Guy (Becky) Alexander, Blaine (Joy) Alexander, Chris (Angela) Alexander, Stacy (Wyonna) Alexander, Brian Alexander, Kenneth Helton, Pamela (Gary) Renno, Phil Gaddy, Terrin Merrick, Greg (Lisa) Weber, Gina (Stan) Williams; numerous great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
