Lillian was born February 22, 1927 in Mercer County, the daughter of Mack Tanner and Mary Amelia Allen Glass.  She married Bernard “Buddy” N. Pogue on September 29, 1951 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Galesburg.  He preceded her in death on March 10, 2013.  Lillian is survived by three sons James Bernard (Mary Ellen) of Centennial, CO, Patrick Eugene (Juliette) of Aurora, CO, and Matthew Allen (Nichol) of Galesburg; two daughters, Christine (John) Pogue Allison and Susan Marie Pogue both of Galesburg.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Mary Margaret Allison, Kathleen Anne Allison, John Bernard Pogue, Megan Catherine Pogue, Lillian Ann Pogue, Kimberly Marie Pogue, and Jeremy Patrick Pogue.  She is also survived by two sisters, Hazel (Bob) Lichty of Lakewood, CO and Joyce Coffman of Galesburg.  Along with her husband and parents, Lillian was preceded in death by two brothers, Mack and Wayne Glass and two infant siblings.

Lillian worked as a switchboard operator at Butler Mfg. for several years.  She then worked part time at Giants Grocery.  She then worked several years as a secretary at Galesburg Mental Health and retired as the business secretary at Henry C. Hill Correctional Center in 1989.  Lillian and Buddy were active members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and actively supported the Catholic schools.  In her free time, Lillian enjoyed playing in a bridge club and crossword puzzles.  Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.
