Lillian Mae Lawrence, 76, Denver passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born July 21, 1934 in Miami County, Indiana she was the daughter of the late John Q. and Martha Coblentz Bell. On September 7, 1952 in Miami County at the home of the late Rev. Austin Gable she was married to Michael A. Lawrence, and he survives.
Lillian was a 1952 graduate of Chili High School. She was a Miami County 4-H leader for several years, and she was an avid gardener. For twenty-three years, she owned a greenhouse northeast of Chili. She had worked at Kresge’s Department Store, Sherrill Corporation and AGP.
Survivors include three children, Kenneth E. Lawrence and wife Jean, Logansport; Patricia A. Sanai and husband Behrooz, Carmel; Michelle K. Lawrence, Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Michael Lawrence, Portland, Maine; John Lawrence, Logansport; Leila and Joshua Sanai, Carmel; five nieces and two nephews.
One brother, Weldon F. Bell, preceded her in death.
