Lillian passed away peacefully with her son Eddie by her side at 12:12am on the 27th of January 2018, just making it to her 104th birthday! She was lovingly cared for by her son Eddie for the past 20 years allowing her to live happily in her own home. She spent the last four days of her life in the Denver Hospice at Lowry where she was with family, friends, her four legged companion “Ginger” and the incredibly compassionate hospice staff. Lillian was born in San Salvador, El Salvador where her grandfather was Minister of Foreign Affairs. She grew up on her father’s coffee plantation and spent time between there and a family home in San Francisco. In 1933, at the age of 19, she went to Los Angeles, CA and was celebrated as a talented dancer. She was soon married to Edward Kay and they moved to Denver, CO. In 1935 she won a talent / beauty contest in Denver, CO which sent her back to Los Angeles in Hollywood for a brief career in Cinema where she appeared in several Spanish language films. She continued to live in Denver, CO as a homemaker and mother. In 1950, her husband passed away, leaving her with a son to support. She went to work for the May Company department store. She eventually became a fashion buyer for them and enjoyed a successful and satisfying career. In 1960, she married Martin Weiss, the love of her life. They moved to Aurora, CO in 1974. Martin passed away in 1977. She has lived in their home for the remainder of her life. Lillian is survived by her son, Edward Kay, her grandson Larry Wallace and his wife Supattra Makararoongroj; her nephews Frank Pincherli, Lance Meneghelli and their families She is preceded by her beloved husband Martin Weiss, her siblings, Hugo Meneghelli, Hazel Pincherli, Aida Meneghelli.
