Lillian M. King, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Twp., Pa. She was the wife of the late David R. “Bob” King, who passed away on 1986.
Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert T. and Mildred (Romig) Schaffer. Lil graduated from Liberty High School. She was a Bookkeeper and Office Administrator at Alan Kunsman Roofing in Bethlehem for many years, until retiring. Lil was a member at Christ Church UCC in Bethlehem, where she was also active in the Mother’s Club. She was a Past President of the Northwest Lioness Club of Bethlehem.
Survivors: surviving are her children, Carol L. Harryn and her husband, Kenneth of Bethlehem; David R. “Skip” King and his wife, Mary of Easton; companion, Tom Sauer of Bethlehem, sisters, Sandra Eichenberg and Cindy Eaton both of Florida; and a brother, Richard Schaffer of Lower Nazareth Twp.; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Kevin J. King in 2014, who was the husband of Jill King of Indiana, sisters, Lucille “Sue” Goodman and Betty Zellner and brothers, Gilbert and Henry Schaffer.
