Lillian M. (Georges) Kiesel, 91, of Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord at Greenwood Village South on Thursday October 24, 2013. Lillian was born on June 9, 1922 in Ft. Branch, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Victor & Amanda (Kemper) Georges.
Lillian was a loving wife to her late husband, Edwin, for 69 ½ years and a dedicated mother to sons, Stephen (Diane) Kiesel of Sumter, SC, Terry (deceased) (Sharon) Kiesel of Sedalia, Missouri, Harvey (Sue) Kiesel of Dayton, Ohio and Brad (Debbie) Kiesel of Greenwood, Indiana. Her legacy continues with nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Lillian was also blessed with several nieces and nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Georges of Poseyville and Vincent Georges of Ft. Branch and niece, Charlene Rosenfeld of Shelbyville.
Lillian was a lifelong homemaker who always put her family first. She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, and was also active in the Indianapolis Senior Citizens and Allison Retiree’s associations. Other passions of her life included ballroom dancing, gardening, and needlepoint.
