Lillian L. Snyder, 99 years, of Bath, IL and formerly of Chandlerville, IL died Saturday morning, May 26, 2007 at her residence.
She was born November 24, 1907 in Cass County, Illinois the daughter of Joseph B. and Cora M. Stout Duckwiler. She married William Lee Snyder on December 15, 1924 in Virginia, IL and he preceded her in death in 1987.
She is survived by two sons, James Richard (wife, Marjorie) Snyder of Chandlerville and Paul Snyder also of Chandlerville; two daughters, Judith Hahn of Bath, IL and Vicki Bottens of Pekin, IL; twenty-five grandchildren, fourty-three great grandchildren; and eleven great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Robert Snyder and Arthur Snyder; daughter, Mary Marlene in infancy; grandson, Wendell Snyder; four brothers, Dwight Duckwiler, Earl Duckwiler, Walter Duckwiler, and Burt Duckwiler; five sisters, Mary Largent, Elsie Trent, Lola Snyder, Dorothy Duckwiler, and Maggie Sinclair.
Mrs. Snyder had previously cleaned many area homes and had been the janitor at the former Chandlerville Baptist Church. She was a member at the former Chandlerville Baptist Church and later attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was a member of Chandlerville American Legion Auxiliary post #694.
