Mrs. Lillian L. (Leschewski) Dimond, 89, of LaSalle, passed away Tuesday morning, January 15, 2013 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Mrs. Dimond was born on May 23, 1923 in LaSalle to John and Louise (Retat) Leschewski. She married Frank Dimond on September 3, 1949 in St. Patrick’s Church in LaSalle. She worked at Westclox in Peru before her marriage and was a homemaker. Lillian spent her married life in Dimmick Twp. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in LaSalle. She will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four sons, Dennis Dimond of Peru, Thomas (Laura) Dimond of Plymouth, IN, Michael (Katie) Dimond of Spring Valley, and Patrick (Monica) Dimond of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; three daughters, Kathy (Jon) Bastuck of Dimmick Twp., Susan (Mark) Wangler of Idaho Falls, ID, and Michaeleen Dimond of Dimmick Twp.; seven grandchildren, Claire Wangler, Julie Schwarz, Michael Wangler, Crystal Bastuck, Andy Bastuck, Christian Dimond, and Lauren Dimond; and two great-grandchildren, Remi and Jack Schwarz.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994. She is the last surviving sibling, having been preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
