Lillian K. Pat Davis, 74, of Jacksonville, died December 18, 2009, at Barton W. Stone Home.
She was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Springfield, the daughter of Mac and Ruby Bridwell. She married Harold W. Davis in Jan. 23, 1953, in Jacksonville, and he survives. She is also survived by one daughter and one son, Pam (Ken) Devlin of Jacksonville and Kevin (Kathy) Davis of Springfield; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Griffitts of Jacksonville, Steven (Nici) Hilligoss of Chatham, Brian (Stacey) Hilligoss of Council Bluffs, IA, Joshua (Dani) Davis of St. Louis, and Amanda (Lucas) Jockisch of Chatham; one great-granddaughter, Ali Davis Jockisch of Chatham; one sister, Ruby (Charles) Saul of Taylorville; and one brother, Bud Buster of Springfield. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Daisy Gibbons, Helen Pollack, and Mary Margaret in infancy; five brothers, Carl, John, James, Richard and William Morris.
Mrs. Davis attended Feitshans High School in Springfield. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of First Christian Church in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and she was very good at it. She was mom to many neighborhood children, and a friend to all. Pat was a good listener and counselor. She was a very positive influence on her family, and especially enjoyed spending weekends and any reason to celebrate with them.
