Obituary

Lillian G. Sampsell, 91, formerly of East Eleventh Street, Watsontown, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Kramm Health and Rehabilitation Center, Watsontown where she had been residing the past five years.

Born January 11, 1917 in Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Norris and Rose Geiswite.

Her husband, Paul F. Sampsell preceded her in death in 1952.

Lillian had worked at the Milton Novelty Works and later at the former Philco/Ford-Zenith Corporation, Watsontown.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Milton American Legion and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Muffly Huff Post 8206, VFW, Turbotville.

She loved to golf and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law: Harold E. Sampsell of Apache Junction, AZ and his wife Barbara Sampsell of Montgomery; Donald E. and Jane Sampsell of Watsontown; four granddaughters: Joy, Wendy, Tracy, and Dawn and several great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a granddaughter, Tina Smith who died in 2002 and two brothers.

In keeping with Lillian’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services.

The family suggest contributions in her memory be made to either Ladies Auxiliary of the Muffly Huff Post 8206, VFW, PO Box 31 Turbotville, PA 17772 or the Ladies Auxiliary of the Milton American Legion, 401 North Front Street, Milton, PA 17847.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main Street, Watsontown.
