Ms. Lillian Ersell Mason Shipman was born July 9, 1947 in Hanover County Virginia to Mr. James Edward Mason and Mrs. Alice Catherine Waller Mason. She was rewarded eternal life on December 30, 2021 while being cared for at Cone Health ARMC in Burlington, NC.
Ms. Shipman was a loving person that loved life and the people that she would encounter during her Christian walk. She expressed God’s love in her smile and kindness towards her family, friends and strangers. Lillian was a true “Social Butterfly”. She was a member of Allen’s Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg, NC. During her years of service there she served in the choir, Willing Workers Club and was an active participant in bible study.
Her life and legacy will be forever cherished in the hearts of her two daughters, Belinda Harris and Brenda Johnson; two sons, James Shipman and David Shipman (Ella); four grandchildren; one brother, Berdell Mason; one sister, Elizabeth Keyes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Mason and three sisters, Helen Pryor, Gloria Patterson and Shirley Lewis.
