Lillian Cagle Hall, age 93 of Niceville, Florida, went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 22, 2022. She was born to Oscar Monroe and Addie Mae Cagle on May 14, 1928, in Mount Hope, Alabama. Her father was a farmer so she grew up doing her chores before school and after. She would help pick cotton, feed the animals, and help her mother in the home. She used to love to ride to school, side saddle, on a mule named Kate. Lillian had the most beautiful blue eyes and wavy blonde hair. Most people don’t know but when she was young her hair was so blond, her nickname was “cotton”.
She graduated from High School and then went to Bible College. And then went on to meet the love of her life, Floyd Hall. They were married Monday, September 22, 1958, lived in Alabama and Tennessee, and eventually moved to Niceville, Florida, Combined they had 6 children (three boys and three girls). Floyd had three boys previously and they had three girls together. They bought a little house on a hill where she continued to live after his death on Sunday, February 10, 1980. Lillian worked as a meat wrapper in Niceville at Piggly Wiggly for 20+ years until she went to work for Kelly’s IGA for over 15 years. She retired and spent as much time as she could with her Daughter Mary, Son-in-law Jason, and her Grandson Kristopher. She and Kristopher instantly bonded together through the family of course, but also through their love for the Atlanta Braves and the Alabama Crimson Tide. In fact, Lillian and Kris both went to their first-ever Major League game together to see the Braves play. They had a blast!!
Lillian was a very loving, strong, honest, humble, kind, soft-spoken, hard-working, and beautiful woman. She was a great friend, a wonderful Wife and Mother, and an awesome Grandmother. You always knew where you stood with her. There was never an unkind word spoken about her. She always greeted you with a smile. She was a very special Lady. Everyone loved her including her neighbors, coworkers, and more recently nursing home workers(friends). And she loved everyone including her little dog Buddy who was her loyal companion and protector.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd William Hall, her daughters Margie Ann Hall and Infant daughter, her parents Oscar Monroe Cagle and Addie Mae McCarver Cagle, and her brothers Luie Gladstone Cagle, Gilbert Haze Cagle. Grandchildren Christopher Bryan Hall and Pamela Hall Wheeler.
