Lillian T. (Donatt) Berton, 98, of Oglesby, passed away Friday morning, December 4, 2020, at Heritage Health, Peru. Mrs. Berton was born on October 15, 1922, in Oglesby to Joseph and Helen (Michalik) Donatt.
She married William “Tigs” Berton on December 28, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church, Oglesby. Mrs. Berton was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School and later worked at Westclox, Peru. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her children, Lonna Berton of Oglesby and Jeff (Jeanne) Berton of North Royalton, OH; six grandchildren, Roger Rhine of LaSalle, Dale Rhine of Peru, Renee Rhine of LaSalle, Tyler Berton of Columbus, OH, Rachel Berton of Salem, OR and Dr. Nancy (Josh Myer) Samolitis of Los Angeles, CA and one great-granddaughter, Jodie Rhine of Oglesby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2007; one son, Roger Berton in 1963 and two daughters, Linda Wilson in 2011 and Marilyn Rhine in 2015.
