Lilian A. “Anne” Wirth, 99, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in London, England on a snowy March 6, 1916, beloved daughter of the late John Goodall and Alice Elizabeth (White) Goodall. Anne was married in 1955 to the late Joseph Wirth of Hungary. Anne was a world traveler who enjoyed all life had to offer in her native England, Australia, Canada, and the U.S. where she resided for over 50 years in Fairfield. She was a hard worker for most of her long life, though always enjoyed her jobs and the people she worked with. She volunteered as an ambulance driver during the London Blitz in World War II, and then, after the war, started in London at Selfridges on Oxford Street, where she rose to become an Assistant Buyer.
