Lilburn Pierce, 93, Anderson, died January 15, 2009 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after a brief illness.
He was born September 29, 1915 in Russell County, Kentucky, and had lived in this area since 1939. He retired from Guide Division of General Motors in 1972.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Herllon Dixon, Patty Burton, Linda Simms, Margaret Hadley, Carol Paulis, Richard Selby, Sandra McClintock, Maudie Icee, Belinda Flickinger, Mildred Lockhart, Lilburn Stapp Jr., Lois Canter, Lynn Stapp, Rollin Stapp, Kenny Stapp, Phyllis Stapp, Robert Stapp, Daisy Goss, Mildred Gray, Barbara Miller, Shirley Coleman, Helen Antle, Glen Davis Hadley, Marshall Hart, Christine Carter, Roger Pierce and Darrell Pierce.
A special thanks to Countryside Manor and Hospice. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxaline Blakey Pierce on May 12, 2008; parents, Robert O. & Elise Grant Pierce; sisters, Eulice Stapp, Ruth Hart, Myrtle Hadley; and brother, Noel Pierce.
