Lila L. (Legere) Castonguay, 87, died peacefully in her home on Thursday evening, July 29, 2021.
Her husband of 48 years, Richard J. Castonguay, died in 2001. She leaves two children: James R. Castonguay and his wife, Barbara, of Whitinsville, and Laurie J. Castonguay of Amherst; a granddaughter, Crystal Grondin of Northbridge; two sisters: Rose Gemme of Whitinsville, and Janet Binns of Whitefield, ME; three brothers: Eugene Legere of Uxbridge, Marcel Legere of Sutton, and Alfred Legere of Randolph, ME; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Marcel and Evelyn (Daly) Legere, a sister, Lorraine Anderson, and two brothers: Paul Legere and Henry Legere.
Mrs. Castonguay was born in South Grafton on April 7, 1934. She was raised there and moved to Linwood where she lived for 10 years before moving to Northbridge in 1962.
She was a millworker and worked at several mills in the Northbridge area before she retired. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Parish, Northbridge.
