Liddie C. ”Margaret” Campbell Aynes, 72, Anderson, died July 19, 2002 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born March 24, 1930 in Somerset, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She moved to Anderson when she was 11 years old. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1982 after 34 years of service. She was a member of Excel Fitness Club since 1998.
She also bowled in several leagues including the UAW Local #662 league, the Delco Remy League and a commercial league. She loved dolls and reading books. She is survived by her her husband of 52 years, James M. Aynes Jr.; two granddaughters that she raised for 16 years, Erica Aynes and Maygan Aynes both of Anderson; a sister, Bertha & husband Joe Reed of Anderson; a grandson, Nicholas Aynes of Fairland; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents John & Ellen Roberts Campbell, a son Rick Aynes, five sisters, Rhoda Hamilton, Nancy Roberts, Mabel McKenzie, Pearl Cook, Ada Stines; two brothers Sam Campbell and Bill Campbell.
