Surrounded by loved ones, Libby Ann Jackson-Cox passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26 th 2020 in Terre Haute, Indiana at the age of 73. Born February 28, 1947 to Charles Wand and Hattie Bell Greenlee, she spent her younger years in Indianapolis going to sock hops, playing 45 records and generally living the late 50’s and 60’s American dream.  She later traveled and spent time in Ohio, Virginia, and Illinois, before finally settling back home in Indiana. During her travels, Libby served her country and community as a member of the Indiana Air National Guard, Army National Guard and Army Reserves.  Libby was an avid reader and there wasn’t a day that went by where she wasn’t lost in the world of literature. 

 

Libby is preceded in death by her parents, a stepfather Melvin Shuman, and a brother Rick Wand. Libby is survived by one brother Mike Hargett, her loving husband of 22 years Brian Cox, children: Mark (Ginger) McCarty, Bill McCarty, and Jami Mays, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
