Lewis Wayne Moseley, age 69, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his home in Newnan surrounded by family. He was born November 16, 1946 in Tifton GA to the late Lewis Cromwell Moseley and Mamie Elizabeth Moseley. After graduation from Tift County High School, Wayne attended Georgia Southern University. He was a member of Phi Mu Alpha, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Music Theory and Composition in 1969. He continued his studies earning a Master of Science for Teachers from Georgia Southern University in 1972. Wayne taught choral music in Ocilla, GA before joining West GA RESA from 1973-2005. He was originally hired as the music consultant; but shortly after, assumed the role of Teacher Staff Development Coordinator. Wayne’s hobby was writing music. He arranged the strings parts for several groups and solo artists connected with the Southern Tracks Recording Studio in Atlanta. Those groups included Bertie Higgins and the Atlanta Rhythm Section. Wayne is survived by his wife Karen Moseley and their two children Joel Moseley and Sarah Beth Moseley. He is also survived by his sister Kay Marchant and her husband Billy and two nephews Mike and Brian Marchant.
