Lewis Francis Ogden, 69, of New Britain formerly a long time resident of Berlin and Plainville, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Born in Prentiss, Maine on March 24, 1941 he was the son of the late Asa Vernon and Mildred Mae (Worster) Ogden.
Lewis was a simple man and lived his life on his own terms. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. But what he really enjoyed was country western dancing. He was competitive dancer for many years and enjoyed teaching it for various adult education programs. Lewis loved his family and will be missed by all those who knew him.
He leaves his son William Ogden and his wife Gail of Berlin; his grandchildren Ryan Ogden and Nicole Damboise; his sisters Kay Bennett and her husband Mike of Maine and Gail Partridge and her husband Steve of Maine; his sister-in-law Gerry Ogden of Maine along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Hubert Ogden.
