Lewis Lew Morrill Fitts, age 78, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010 after a brief illness.
Lew was born to John and Alice Fitts in Penacook, New Hampshire on December 23, 1931. He graduated from Penacook High in 1949. He worked at WKXL radio and WLNH before joining the army in 1952. Lew married the love of his life, Carolyn York, on April 25, 1953 and celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage together. Lew and Carolyn relocated to New Mexico in the mid 50s where they raised their family. Lew worked in the radio and television broadcasting industry for 20 years. He then owned a Roswell Tastee Freeze for 14 years. He later worked for House of Art Jewelers and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
