Lewis “Lee” Stauffer, 87, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing & Rehab.
He was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Scranton, PA, the son of Amos H. and Emily D. Gerhard Stauffer. He married Katherine Whitacre on Aug. 20, 1955, in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Vickie Kay (Dave) Baier of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Greg) Wurtz of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew (Julie) Baier of La Grange, GA, and Brian (Vanessa) Baier of Montgomery; five great grandchildren; and one brother, John Robert Stauffer of Doylestown, PA.
Mr. Stauffer retired from Hertzberg New Method after 28 years of service. He was a member of Central Christian Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
