Lewis L. (Louie) Zellers, 88, of 9446 Wallis Run Road, Trout Run, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Gatehouse following an extended illness.
Louie and his wife, the former Marceline D. (Marcie) Dodds, observed their 58th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
Louie was an Army veteran of World War II, a life member of the Gesang Verein Harmonia Club and a member of American Legion Post 1, Williamsport. He also enjoyed bowling and was an avid Penn State, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Mets fan.
Louie was the store manager of the Third Street Weis Market.
Born June 22, 1920 in South Williamsport, he was the son of Lewis W. and Edith M. Hauke Zellers.
Surviving in addition to his wife are twin sons, Lewis J. of Douglassville and Michael J. of Hamburg and son John W. of Trout Run; daughter, Margaret M. Kane of Williamsport; sister, Eva D. Racine in Florida; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
