Obituary of Lewis K. Wolfe

Wolfe, Lewis K. “Lou” of Oxford, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Aleda E. Lutz – VA Medical Center in Saginaw, Michigan. He was 96 years old. Lewis K. Wolfe was born on May 25, 1920 in Oxford, Michigan to late Nelson and Nellie (Adams) Wolfe. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, courageously serving during WWII. Lou married Jane Currie on February 24, 1947; she preceded him in death in June 1991. He later married Irene Wildey in 1995; she preceded him in death in April 2003. Lou was employed by National Twist Drill in Rochester, retiring with almost 30 years of service. For many years he managed and umpired the Oxford Little League. Lou had a kind, caring and compassionate soul and truly loved and cherished his family.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Larry) Vader of Metamora; six grandchildren: Ron (Tracy) Wolfe, Cindy (Dan) Jones, Randy Wolfe, Janette (Rick) DeLisle, Brian (Nancy) Vader, and Shannon (Jason) Pratt; nine great-grandchildren; and three step-children: Gary Wildey, Duane Wildey, and Diane (Don) Long.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry (Sue) Wolfe; and a sister, Mary Wint.

Honoring Lou’s wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned.
