Lewis Franklin Scott, Born May 9,1944 in Kent County, Delaware, the ninth of ten children born to Edith & Wayman Scott Sr., departed this life on September 12, 2017, peacefully at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.
He received his early education in the Kent County School System where he met his first wife, Anna Lee Scott. They had three children, Pandora Evette, Lewis Franklin Moses and DeAnna Marschell.
He later remarried, his second wife was Elnora Annette Scott from Ridgley, Md. From the marriage, Lewis acquired two Step-children,
Lovette and Kenny III (Pete).
Lewis had a lifelong dedication to service which include; over 40 years as a Diesel Mechanic; Wooleyhand Transport Co. for 18 years and with Elliott Wilson Trucking for 23 years until he retired.
He was naturally gifted with manual dexterity. He had a genuine love for many things like; farming and gardening, wild game hunting, fishing, playing and watching baseball, (being a Dodgers fan), preparing wildgame dishes like rabbit and squirrel stew, (which was his specialty). His hobby was tinkering with old farm tractors.
He was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. He was always smiling.
Lewis also dedicated himself to a number of causes which include; being a member of Local NAACP and the Automotive Service Association, He was also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
He was raised in Mt. Plymouth Methodist AME in Felton, Delaware. He rejoined church in 1981 and became a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Annette Scott, his daughter Pandora Evette Scott, his son Randolph Scott, brothers, Wayman, Harry, James, William and Melvin.
He will be sadly missed by his son, Lewis Franklin Moses (Angela), and daughter, DeAnna; grandchildren, Andre, Jason, Lewis II, Adrian and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Antonio, August, Sandra and Samantha; step-children, Lovette and Pete, sisters Margaret Bowers and Edith Berry; brothers Lester (Alberta), Daniel (Nancy); sisters-in-law, Lowan and Mary Ann; his beloved pet Jack, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
