Leverne Marion Davis, 79 years and 21 days, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Thursday, July 5, 2018, in her residence.

She was born Wednesday, June 14, 1939, to Zim and Bertha Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Elaine, Zenobia, and Frances.

Leverne leaves to mourn her passing and continue her legacy, her two sisters, Betty Davis and Bertha Redmond. She also leaves her four sons, Victor of Lansing, Michigan, Christopher of South Bend, Indiana, Dana E. of Lansing, Michigan, Dana C. of Wichita Falls, Texas; her four daughters, Brenda of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jamie of Elkhart, Indiana, Marion of South Bend, Indiana, and La’Che of Belleville, Illinois. Leverne also leaves 23 grandchildren. 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves an honorary son, John McKnight and an honorary daughter, Shawna. Vanhphoumy.

Leverne enjoyed growing flowers indoors and out. She also enjoyed decorating and keeping the house clean. As a child, Leverne attended school in Vandalia and later relocated to Chicago to further her education. She attended Chain Lake Missionary Baptist Church and her children were blessed to hear her sing. Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm. Leverne worked in Healthcare. Many were blessed to be in her care in hospitals, nursing homes and their residences.
