Mother Lettie Mae Jordan was born on January 2, 1920, in Lubbock, Texas to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bullock. She was the only child born to this union. She received her formal education in Lubbock, where she graduated from Dunbar High School. She later furthered her education by earning her Certification in Pattern Design from Emily Griffith Opportunity School. In 1947, Lettie united in holy matrimony to Charlie Jordan. The couple first met when they both lived in Lubbock. They shared a loving and happy marriage until Charlie preceded her in death on May 22, 1989. There were no children born to this union. Mother Jordan was employed by the family of the late Dr. Robert and his wife Betty Berris as their Home Care Provider for over 50 years. She was instrumental in the care of their children and grandchildren. She also worked for the family of Arthur and JoAnne Boss. In both homes, she was respected for being hardworking, dedicated and dependable. She was trusted confidante who performed her duties with a spirit of excellence.
