Cale, Lettie Jene Beasley
76, passed away on 7 July 2011 in her home in Payson, Arizona. She was born on May 7, 1935 to William L and Emma I Beasley, on a farm near Ressell, Minnesota.
Lettie married Charles E Cale on October 24, 1971 in Payson, Arizona, and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2004.
Survivors include her three brothers: COL James W Beasley USA Ret [Tucson Az], LTC George F Beasley USA Ret [Tucson Az] and Clair C Beasley US Forest Svc – Ret and wife Sally [Ogden Utah].
Her survivors also include four stepchildren of her husband, Charles: Dana J. Cale [Oakland CA]; Michael K Cale [Payson Az]; Dr Timothy S Cale [Phoenix Az]; Kathleen L Cale City of Phoenix Ret [Phoenix Az].
Lettie graduated from Russell HS, Russell MN in 1953, and Arizona State University, Tempe Az in 1957. During the next 10 years she taught in various school districts in Arizona. In 1969, Lettie received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Arizona, Tucson Az. She then worked for the Arizona Department of Education, Phoenix Az for the next twenty years until her retirement in 1989.
Upon her retirement, she and her husband moved to Payson Az.
Lettie participated in many community activities, especially Toastmasters, the Northern Gila County Genealogy Society, and Gila County Community college.
