Leta was born January 14, 1921 in Winnett, MT to Charles and Callie (Haynes) Brady. She received her general education at the Brady grade school and graduated from Winnett High School. She worked as a nurse’s aide and also ran an in-home day care. Her love for children inspired her to become a foster parent for several children.

In December of 1940 she was married to Albert David Lutke. Together they raised their four sons and were blessed with nearly 41 years of marriage before Albert’s passing in November of 1981.

In her spare time, Leta enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting and square dancing. She was a member of the Methodist church and sang in the church choir. She also volunteered at the local senior center. Leta’s favorite way to spend time was with her family. They often enjoyed the family cabin that they built near Glacier Park and the outdoor activities this presented.

Leta is survived by her sons, Larry Albert (Nancy), Duane Evert (Lois), Douglas Earl (Susan), and Neal David (Roxie) Lutke; sister, Irene Stengrimson of Fairfield; brothers, Alvy Brady of Fairfield, Dale Brady of Hamilton, and Lyall Brady of Idaho; as well as 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and several brothers and sisters.
