Leta Fay Owens, of Norfork, Arkansas, daughter of the late Elmer Deszemore Foster and Nealie Snorah Haughn Foster, Leta was born May 6, 1930 in Elizabeth, Arkansas. She died October 27, 2016 at home in Norfork at the age of 86 years 5 months and 21 days.
She was united in marriage to Eldridge Ardean Owens on June 17, 1950 at Elizabeth. Four children were born to this union. She was a Christian in faith.During her working years she worked at Baxter Lab.
Survivors include her children: Brenda Joann Owens of Lawrence, Kansas, Beverly Lorene Harris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Vickie Lynn Owens Penland of Norfork, Arkansas, and Sandra Kay Adams of Gardner Lake, Kansas; grandchildren: Stephen Joseph Penland, John Matthew Penland, Thomas James Penland, Adam Robert Harris, Jesse Lynn Harris, Charles Michael Cordray, Jeffrey Dean Cordray, Cory Adams, Jessica Adams Rutledge, and Ben Adams; eighteen great-grand children; one sister: Agnes Lottie Reasons.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eldridge Ardean Owens; her parents: Elmer Deszemore and Nealie Snorah Foster; sister’s: Bonnie Lee Kerley, Celie Savanna Foster, and Jessie Hopper; brother’s: Johnny Brown Foster, Emmitt D. Foster, Garlin Foster, and infant brother; son-in-law: Robert Lynn Harris.
