Lester Titlow, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2107, at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the loving husband of Sara “Suzy” (Davis) Titlow, with whom he shared over 70 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Samuel O. and Verna (Miller) Titlow. He graduated from Allen High School and went on to earn his BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, Class of 1943. Lester then served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Upon returning from the war, he worked as a civil engineer for a number of companies, including the Reading Railroad and Manganese Steel Forge / Harsco Corp. He was a member of the American Association of Civil Engineers, and of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. He enjoyed dancing, swimming, ice skating, biking, playing tennis, and being with his family. Lester also enjoyed volunteering with a number of groups, including Lehigh University from 1986 to 2017, Meals on Wheels, Cancer Boutique, Moravian Village, First Presbyterian Church, St. Luke’s Hospital, and the Westminster Lemontree Bazaar.

Survivors: wife Sara; daughters Jody Haller and her husband Lelan of Frisco, NC, Pamela Schwartz and her husband John of Lower Nazareth Twp; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Lester was predeceased by his sister, Mildred Kelly.
