Les returned home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 11, 2021, where he was surrounded by family in the Brigham City Utah Community Hospital.

Les was the first born to Lester Eugene and Annie Virgena Aldridge Taylor on June 8, 1935, in Boise, Idaho. He was raised with his three younger sisters in Meridian where he graduated from Meridian high school. He then attended Boise Jr. College, Idaho State, and Weber State College where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Les married Julia (Judy) Marie Hancock in Pocatello, ID on April 2, 1958, and was later sealed in the Logan Temple on July 29, 1960.

Les was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 23. He served in the Elders Quorum as President, Counselor, and Secretary. He was a faithful Home Teacher and Stake Auditor for 20 years.

He worked at Thiokol as a Senior Financial Analyst and also served on the board of the Thiokol Credit union. Before retiring from Thiokol, he began a new career in Real Estate for Caldwell Banker where he finally retired at the age of 82.  

Les leaves a legacy of hard work and love. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed family vacations to Disneyland, diet coke, visiting with friends, and gardening each summer with his wife Judy. Les was an amazing husband, often spoiling his wife during their shopping adventures. He was a very hard worker but always put his family first. Les served in the Naval Reserves and National Guard. He was proud to be an American and often teared up during anything patriotic.

He is survived by his wife Judy; children: Michael (Michelle) Taylor, Jeffery, Julinn (Dan) Mumford, Marlese (David) Madsen; sisters: Janet Nicely and Carolann Murphy; 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Norma Faye Taylor.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his wife Judy and son Jeff for being his caregivers, grandchildren Dallin & Mckenzie Madsen and Macey and Jeremy Shaw, Dan Taylor (Home teacher), Dr. Michael Shaw, Brigham City EMT’s and Brigham City Community Hospital and staff for their loving care.
