Lester L. Gosling, Jr., 92, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2022 while in the care of Holy Family Manor, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Eleonore (Castellucci) Gosling. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Lester L. Gosling, Sr. and Catherine (Rowland) Gosling. Lester honorably served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict as an Aviation Photographic Technician. He accomplished a 35 year teaching career within the Bethlehem Area School District as an Industrial Arts Teacher at Northeast Middle School and Washington Elementary School, Director of Student Co-Op program at Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech, Director of Interim School for potential drop-out students and then ended his career full circle as an Industrial Arts Teacher at East Hills Middle School. Lester was a member and served as President for the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 70. He was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Lester enjoyed woodworking, auto mechanics and boating. He was also a regular for coffee at the former Kostas Drug Store in Bethlehem. Above all his passion was flying his home built experimental airplane and his 1946 Ercoupe. 
 

 

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Eleonore, he will be lovingly remembered by his son Thomas M. Gosling and his wife Regina of Bethlehem; daughter Karen M. Gosling of Bethlehem; sister Linda Weiss of Bethlehem; granddaughters Sarah Yerk and her husband Greg and Dr. Amanda Gosling and her husband Michael High and his loving great grandchildren Alexandra, Abigail, Zachary, Elizabeth and Thomas.
