Lester J. Hahn, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 9, 2016, at Blough Health Care Center in Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Jeanette (Bodder) Hahn, who passed away on January 22, 2010. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late George and Elva (Barthol) Hahn.
Lester was a 1940 graduate of Liberty High School. He was a 7th-12th grade band member who played the clarinet. He was also a member of the City of Bethlehem Municipal Band for 5 years, from 1940-1945. He honorably served his country in the US Marines during WWII. Lester was a member of Trinity UCC in Bethlehem. He was also a member of the MORA Club, Bethlehem Senior Center, and the Northwood Racquet Club in Palmer Twp. Lester was acknowledged by the Governor of PA for never missing voting for an election for 50 years.
Survivors: daughter Janet Prevelige and her husband George of Woodbridge, VA; sister Arlene Rohland; brothers Harold Hahn and his wife Barbara all of Bethlehem, Earl Hahn and his wife Colleen of Richboro; sister in law Eleanor Hahn of Bethlehem; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Paul in 2011.
