Lester “Dick” Arrington, 72, of Tallahassee, passed away on December 18, 2015.
A son of the late Andrew and Cleaster Young Arrington, he was born January 22, 1943, in Midway, Florida. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Lawrence Arrington, Billy Arrington, and Bobby Arrington. He served three years in the US Army, was a heavy machine operator with Roberts Sand Company, and later worked in cabinetry with Vernon Geddy, and he attended Community Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, his dogs, and most importantly, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Arrington; children, Paula Posey, Tonya (Kevin) Kever, and Allen (Sarah) Arrington; grandchildren, Brian Posey, Amber Posey, Alyssa Friend, Cierra Kever, Shaunee Friend, Detinee McCray, Richard Allen Arrington, Jr., and Mackynzie Arrington; great-grandchildren, Elaine and Logan; siblings, Margaret Granger, Charles Arrington, Martha Arrington, Thelma Ordonez-Cruz and Larry Arrington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
